Not the pizza that you know... these are little cute pizza roses, and no one will miss the cheese!
Yea - I know - this is not the healthiest dish on earth. But it's not as bad as dairy pizza or any other junk you may get in a fast food restaurant!
What you need:
1 pack pastry dough (if you can make one yourself, that's even better!)
1 can tomato sauce (100% tomatoes)
1 large can ready-made tomato sauce (with only natural ingredients, no preservatives or any unfamiliar word!)
Flour to sprinkle on the table
A bit of avocado oil for the tray's bottom
Optional: pitted Kalamata olives, chopped, or chopped fresh/dried basil leaves
What to do:
Sprinkle the flour on a clean, dry table and use rolling pin to spread the pastry dough until you get a nice rectangle of dough.
Use a spoon to gently spread the tomato paste on the pastry dough, and then add another layer of the tomato sauce. You may add some olives at this point if you like.
Use a sharp knife to cut long stripes along the rectangle, and then roll each stripe until you get a little cute rose.
Place the roses on a baking tray after spreading some avocado oil on its bottom.
Bake in the oven - 350 degrees (Celsius) - until the roses are slightly tanned and ready.
It's great to eat them when they are fresh from the oven. Enjoy!
